THE TECHNOLOGICAL AND NON-TECHNOLOGICAL ELEMENTS THAT CHARACTERIZE INDUSTRY 4.0: A SET OF RESEARCH FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE BRAZILIAN SCENARIO. Goiânia (GO), 2024. 112 f. Dissertação (Mestrado Profissional em Administração) - Centro Universitário Alves Faria, 2024.https://repositorio.unialfa.com.br/handle/123456789/351Originality/Value: In theoretical terms, this work seeks to review the theoretical foundations of Industry 4.0, starting from the ambiguity of the current definition to mapping the technological and non-technological elements of Industry 4.0. In practical terms, this work presents itself as a roadmap for process qualification, demonstrating the distance that the respective organization is from the theoretical model for characterizing Industry 4.0. Field research seeks to map the Brazilian industry scenario regarding the situation of its technological and non-technological elements. Design/Methodology/Approach: This master thesis seeks to consolidate into a single document three research studies that aim to clarify the Industry 4.0 scenario. Article #1, deals with a bibliometric review to map what was published in the period from 2018 to 2022 about Industry 4.0. Article #2, deals with a bibliographic review to understand the interfaces of Industry 4.0 elements in publications from 2018 to 2023, consolidating a theoretical model for Industry 4.0. Article #3, deals with an empirical study to apply this theoretical model in field research. Results: The bibliometric research indicates that there are thirty-eight research gaps regarding the characterization of Industry 4.0. The bibliographical research points to Germany's leading role in research and the development of public policies; the evolution of Chinese and South Korean industry based on the German model; and the description of the theoretical model of Industry 4.0 based on ten technological elements and eight non-technological elements. The empirical investigation points out that the level of social development in each region of Brazil does not influence the evolution of Industry 4.0; Brazil presents adherence gaps in the technological and non-technological elements of Industry 4.0; and presents difficulties in the cognitive development of its employees in the face of the needs of the digitalization process.ptIndustria 4.0Quarta revolução industrialModelo teóricoTHE TECHNOLOGICAL AND NON-TECHNOLOGICAL ELEMENTS THAT CHARACTERIZE INDUSTRY 4.0: A SET OF RESEARCH FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE BRAZILIAN SCENARIO
