However, in Brazil there is no culture to create innovation in companies, this allocation ends up being in charge of the Scientific and Technological Institutions. This work consisted of an analysis of the actions of the Nuclei of Technological Innovation of the Federal Institutes of the state of Goiás, seeking to analyze the perception of the teachers of both Institutes in relation to the NITs. It was verified that the main barriers and facilitators NITs face in the management of innovation policies of the Federal Institutes. The subject studied is important not only for the relationship between universities, but also for society. Thus, there is a gap in the literature to answer the following question: Is NIT only a pro forma adequacy of legislation or an effective mechanism in the company's relationship? In order to meet the proposed objective, a quantitative and qualitative approach was used, which was classified as a multiple case study, since the NITs of the Goiano Federal Institute and the Federal Institute of Goiás were searched. In view of the teachers' perception in relation to NITs, it was found that most teachers of both FIs are not aware of the existence of NITs and many of those who declared that they are aware of NITs do not know what their function is. This study also showed that NITs face many barriers such as: lack of resources, reduced number of servers, and that the same because they have not yet performed any transfer of technology, does not have a structure aimed at technology transfer to enterprises. Another result evidenced in this research is the lack of cooperation between FIs and companies. Finally, it is concluded that NITs need to have a strategic action, seeking partnerships, becoming known, and with clear policies of transfer and commercialization of technological innovations.ptNITInteração universidade-empresaTransferência de tecnologia
