However, it can be said that consumer society has evolved significantly since modernity, especially in the second half of the last century to the present day. The Covid-19 pandemic, which began in 2020, brought drastic changes in consumer behavior, accelerating the migration to online shopping due to lockdowns, transforming consumption spaces and driving the growth of e-commerce, which saw an increase in the first online shopping in Brazil during the first half of 2020. Despite the gradual recovery of physical stores with vaccination, e-commerce has consolidated itself as a lasting reality, essential for many companies and consumers. The study was conducted through bibliographic compilation and analysis of jurisprudence of the Brazilian legal system. The work highlights the importance of protecting consumers in the digital environment, considering fundamental principles such as consumer vulnerability, transparency and objective good faith. Technological evolution and the improvement of the internet have transformed consumption, eliminating geographic barriers and offering speed and accessibility. However, personal data protection and consumer privacy have become critical issues, exacerbated by the use of video conferencing apps during the pandemic. The General Data Protection Law (LGPD) of 2018 plays a crucial role in regulating the processing of personal data, protecting consumers' freedom and privacy rights. The pandemic highlighted the need to update the Consumer Protection Code (CDC) to guarantee security and transparency in online consumer relationships. The study used the inductive method, with a qualitative approach, considering subjective aspects and objective data to evaluate the changes implemented in the legal system in response to the pandemic and their implications for consumer relations.
