Mara Rosa stands out as the first territory in Goiás to have a product recognized with a Geographical Indication, which gives the arrangement a competitive advantage compared to other APLs in Brazil. The research is based on questionnaires applied to both affiliated and non-affiliated producers, examining perceived impacts on mechanization, marketing channels, collective practices, and economic sustainability. The findings indicate that improvements are less associated with isolated production techniques and more closely linked to integration into organizational networks and access to shared infrastructure. Nonetheless, institutional weaknesses persist, such as limited coverage of public policies and credit restrictions. The original contribution of this thesis lies in articulating an empirical analysis of local productive organization with the broader debate on territorial development policies, showing how collective coordination and participatory governance can generate sustainability gains even in contexts with limited state support. In conclusion, the study demonstrates that consolidating the Saffron APL as a driver of sustainable regional development requires integrated and territorially grounded policies capable of transforming isolated initiatives into cumulative trajectories of innovation and income, reinforcing how territory-based experiences can redefine the role of family farming in the contemporary economy.ptArranjo Produtivo Local (APL)Agricultura familiarPolíticas públicasArranjo produtivo local do açafrão, desenvolvimento regional sustentável e integrado na região de Mara Rosa – GO.
