There are factors that need to be analyzed when contemplating this transition to becoming a publicly traded company. The gap lies in the fact that the topic is more discussed and researched internationally compared to Brazil. This research, called “Key Considerations for IPOs of Brazilian Companies”, aims to elucidate the central question: what are the crucial elements for the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of companies in Brazil? The main objective of this investigation is to uncover the preponderant factors that influence the IPO of Brazilian corporations from 2018 to 2023, with accounting and market indicators and peculiarities of listed companies. The methodology of this research is qualitative quantitative, descriptive and explanatory, using linear regression techniques, normality test with Shapiro-Wilk, parametric and non-parametric, F test (ANOVA) and Kruska-Wallis test, Student's t-test with Holm correction, with indicators of publicly traded companies, inferential analysis and descriptive analysis through tables and statistics. The information is taken with secondary data collection from the Economática software in excel format and will be processed by R. The research aims to enrich knowledge in the capital market sphere about IPOs, analyzing variables such as company size; profitability; market valuation; cash flow; pre-IPO stage and maturity of companies; government ownership; affiliation to multinationals; and geographic location.
