Starting with an understanding of sustainability as a multidimensional concept and a central challenge of the 21st century, the study highlights its relevance in the Brazilian context, marked by accelerated urbanization, pressure on ecosystems, and the need for responsible production and consumption models. In this scenario, environmental education is analyzed as an essential instrument for the formation of critical and conscious citizens, capable of transforming daily practices and influencing public policies aimed at mitigating environmental impacts. The dissertation is organized into three scientific articles. The first addresses the theoretical foundations of the relationships among environmental education, sustainable practices, and green marketing, highlighting how awareness can drive change among companies and consumers. The second presents an empirical analysis of the sustainable practices implemented in Bela Vista de Goiás, evaluating their impacts on the local economy and on raising public awareness. The third discusses the results and challenges of these initiatives, reflecting on advances and barriers that limit the effectiveness of the actions. Methodologically, the research adopts a qualitative approach, based on bibliographic review, document analysis, and case study.
