Based on a literature review on microenterprise, management styles and innovation in products and processes, an empirical verification was carried out of how microenterprises consider their competitive advantages when defining their innovation strategies, analyzing the microenterprise management style with its innovative practices identifying the difficulties and possibilities of its dissemination. This is an exploratory and descriptive research, regarding its purposes; field, as its means of investigation; and qualitative, regarding data processing. It was possible to show that the microenterprise obtained significant profits from incremental innovation implemented by employee. Important points for an efficient management and new paths for the continuation of the study were presented. However, the single case study has limitations of the methodology itself that make generalizations impossible. Furthermore, this research did not aim to relate the cause-effect of management style to innovation strategies. But the work meets a social demand, in particular, the packaging segment due to the high consumption due to the pandemic that has increased the mortality of small businesses that represent fundamental importance in the economic scenario in Brazil. The work seeks to cause reflection and understanding to stimulate competitiveness in companies and, consequently, improve their condition of survival and reach success, in addition to leveraging the national economy and improving, every day, people's lives, whether the local, state or national level.ptMicroempresaGestãoMortalidade
