In this research, a quali-quantitative and descriptive approach was chosen. Primary and secondary data were used. The data from the results of the Institutional Self-Evaluation questionnaires were treated by adapting the data analysis method of Konzen and Adams (2016). It was possible to identify through the results of the institutional self-assessments of the years 2019, 2020 and 2021, that the low satisfaction of the participants in relation to several issues of the development of the Federal Institute Goiano - Campus Morrinhos are related to the lack of detailing of the content and the low quality in the preparation of the Institutional Development Plan in force (2019 - 2023). Regarding the issues that generated high satisfaction from the participants, the research has limitations to state whether they were due to the proper preparation of the actions contained in the Institutional Development Plan that generated the satisfaction of the participants of the Institutional Self-assessment, since there may be actions that are not present in the Institutional Development Plan, but that caused the achievement of the objectives and goals evaluated. Among other aspects, it is concluded that the Institutional Development Plan (2019-2023) of the Federal Institute Goiano does not have basic characteristics of a desirable strategic planning for an institution, since it has few goals and actions to achieve the proposed strategic objectives, and also does not present quantitative and measurable values to better analyze the real evolution of the achievement of the objectives.ptAutoavaliação institucionalPlanejamento estratégicoPlano de desenvolvimento institucional
