The research seeks to answer: How do companies in the Aparecida de Goiânia-GO business cluster adopt economic internationalization strategies? The general objective is to analyze how companies in the business cluster of Aparecida de Goiânia-GO, especially those inserted in the Industry 4.0 sectors, adopt economic internationalization strategies, while the specific objectives were: (I) identify the specific challenges that companies face by internationalizing its operations while adopting Industry 4.0 technologies, including regulatory, structural, cultural and technological issues; (II) analyze the strategic opportunities resulting from the internationalization of Industry 4.0, such as access to new markets, global partnerships and competitive differentiation; and (III) evaluate the actions that companies use to enter Foreign Trade (Comex).To answer the research question, 157 questionnaires were applied, of which 34 were answered, corresponding to 21.65% of the companies in the Aparecida de Goiânia-GO business cluster. This region is characterized by its economic growth and diversified industrial infrastructure. The research results showed that, although companies have some strengths, they face significant weaknesses to stand out in Industry 4.0 and internationalization. A positive point is the fact that many companies are aware of public programs aimed at internationalization. However, there is still a significant challenge related to understanding Industry 4.0, which limits the adoption of emerging technologies. Key weaknesses include regulatory barriers and a shortage of specialized talent, with many companies reporting extreme difficulties in recruiting professionals for these areas, compromising their ability to compete globally. Furthermore, few companies frequently invest in R&D and a significant portion do not have a defined project management structure, which makes innovation and continuous adaptation difficult. In this sense, overcoming these challenges and companies acting as catalysts depends on investments in training, strengthening partnerships and aligning with public policies that encourage innovation and the adoption of technologies.
