For the development of this work we used bibliographical and documentary research, based on which the theoretical and conceptual aspects of the sanitary sewage were developed and the laws, norms and public policies on this matter were studied at the national and municipal levels. Field research was carried out in eight urban zones or zones of the Family Health Strategies-ESF, based on a structured form, applied homogeneously to employees in the eight health posts of these zones, which serve all of the neighborhoods of Iporá. The most important result, which evidently demonstrates the effects of the lack of sewage systems in most of the neighborhoods, is the presence with the highest incidence of vectors and contagious diseases in those urban sectors that lack the service.
