The health crisis has been associated with the economic crisis, causing increased unemployment, social inequality, and the risk of a food crisis in Brazil, these factors can impact the population's right to adequate nutrition - DHAA, leading to an increase in the prevalence of food and nutrition insecurity (SANTOS et al., 2020). A state of emergency was declared due to the Covid -19 Pandemic and classes in public schools were interrupted, leaving more than 40 (forty) million students without access to classrooms. The present research is a documental study, with primary data sources, including documents available in institutional sites and texts published in communication vehicles, legislations, decrees, as well as ordinances, articles by journalists from digital media bases, such as major editorials and news circulating in digital bases. The objective of this study is to analyze the emergent approaches adopted in the context of the Covid -19 pandemic, in the valuation of public policies on school feeding nationwide, with emphasis on the actions implemented by the government of the State of Goiás, aimed at ensuring food and nutritional security of students. It portrays the most significant changes that have occurred because of the enactment of Law 13.987/2020, which was regulated by Resolution CD/FNDE n. º 02/2020, which authorized, on an exceptional basis, the distribution of food purchased with program funds to student families during the period of suspension of classes.ptSegurança AlimentarSegurança NutricionalPandemia de Covid-19
