Data from the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep) reveal alarming school dropout rates, which compromise youth development and the effectiveness of public educational policies.The main objective of this study is to investigate how educational policies and judicial decisions can be improved to prevent school dropout and strengthen the right to education. It examines the public policies implemented during the period, the application of the Law of Guidelines and Bases of Education (LDB), and relevant jurisprudence cases related to the subject.The research highlights the importance of democratic management, collective participation, and the promotion of equity in the formulation of educational public policies. Furthermore, it proposes structural and integrated solutions to ensure access, retention, and quality education, taking into account the country's cultural and economic specificities. The conclusion emphasizes that education, as a social right and fundamental pillar of a just and inclusive society, requires a joint commitment from the State, families, and society.
