Therefore, managers of the researched business were interviewed, seeking, based on qualitative and quantitative analysis, to identify the strategic responses adopted because of the pandemic. Two instruments were used for data collection, a questionnaire and an interview script. From the collected data, the correspondence analysis technique was used in relation to the quantitative analysis, and the qualitative analysis was carried out from the recording of the interviews, seeking to compare the respondents' evaluation with the quantitative data obtained. In general, negative effects on the business were identified, such as higher student attrition, shrinkage of revenue, enrollments deferral, increase in defaults, staff reduction, investments decrease. The responses obtained in both instruments converged and they point out to the adoption of the strategic response of cost reduction as the prevailing way to address the challenge of the crisis.ptRespostas estratégicas a crisesNegócios educacionais
