To this end, the study compiles and integrates three complementary articles on the subject, with the purpose of understanding, through different methodological approaches, the advancements, barriers, impacts, and prospects of technological transformation in this sector, which is essential to society. The first article, of a bibliometric nature, analyzed the academic output on the topic, identifying a growing, yet still incipient and embryonic, number of studies, which highlights the novelty, gaps, and relevance of the subject in the scientific context. The second article, of a theoretical nature, addressed the main concepts related to digital innovation, highlighting the expected benefits—such as greater efficiency, legal security, and accessibility—and the barriers encountered for its effective implementation, including high technological costs and inequality in access to digital services due to the lack of technological resources. The third article, of a theoretical-empirical nature, explored practical perceptions regarding the digital innovation process through an applied, descriptive, and quantitative research, using questionnaires administered to industry professionals and data analysis through descriptive and inferential statistics. The results demonstrated that the level of technological updating of notary offices exerts a statistically significant influence on the improvement of user services, as well as on the enhancement of legal security of the acts performed, evidencing that digitalization directly contributes to the quality and reliability of the services provided. Furthermore, it was found that the improvement of operational efficiency has a positive effect on the reduction of operational costs, indicating that the strategic use of digital technologies favors the optimization of processes and the strengthening of management in extrajudicial offices. Together, the three studies provide a comprehensive and in-depth perspective on the subject, revealing that, although digital transformation in Brazilian notary offices is still in a maturity stage, it already has tangible impacts on the quality and sustainability of the services provided. As a theoretical contribution, the research broadens the understanding of the integration between innovation and management in notarial and registry services. In the practical field, the results serve as a resource for managers, guiding strategies that promote the modernization, efficiency, and sustainability of Brazilian extrajudicial notary offices.ptInovação digitalCartórios extrajudiciaisServiços notariais
