In the judiciary, although technological innovations have contributed to greater speed and transparency, additional barriers persist for vulnerable groups, generating inequalities in access to justice. This study investigated whether the implementation of the electronic judicial process in the Court of Justice of Goiás facilitated access to justice for low-income residents of Goiânia or, conversely, intensified digital exclusion. The research adopted a qualitative and exploratory approach, combining a literature review with in-depth interviews conducted with twenty users selected according to predefined socioeconomic criteria. The analysis of the participants’ narratives revealed difficulties related to low digital competence, poor internet connection, platform failures, and the lack of support points in peripheral areas. The findings indicate that, although digitalization modernizes procedures, it still does not ensure equitable access to the justice system, particularly affecting older adults and individuals with lower educational levels. The inclusion initiatives implemented by the Court of Justice of Goiás, such as Digital Inclusion Points, the Virtual Desk, and the “Fale Conosco” service, proved insufficient to meet the needs of low-income residents in Goiânia. This study offers an unprecedented diagnosis of the local reality and reinforces the need for public policies that simplify digital platforms, strengthen institutional support, and enhance digital skills.
