Dissertação (Mestrado Profissional em Desenvolvimento Regional) - Centro Universitário Alves Faria, 2023.https://repositorio.unialfa.com.br/handle/123456789/361This dissertation is part of the research strand “Education and Regional Development” within the Professional Master’s Program in Regional Development at Alves Faria University Center (UNIALFA). Its main objective is to comprehend the significance of Federal Institutes for Regional Development, with a specific focus on the technical chemistry course at the Federal Institute of Goiás, Campus Anápolis (IFG-Anápolis). This study aims to align the offerings of IFG-Anápolis with the requirements of the factories situated in the Agroindustrial District of Anápolis (DAIA). The overarching goal of this dissertation is to conduct an analysis of the Federal Institute of Goiás (IFG) – Campus Anápolis (GO) – and its course offerings in relation to the demands of chemical industries established in the Agroindustrial District of Anápolis (DAIA). This analysis will be based on a comprehensive assessment of public policy, the productive sector, and the profile of graduates. As a theoretical underpinning, this dissertation draws upon the works of Bourdieu (1998), Libâneo (2004, 2006), Araújo (2008), Zanella (2013), Secchi (2016, 2021), Frigotto (2018) and other scholars. Consequently, the research aims to scrutinize the contextual influence of Public Policies on the Institutional Development Project and course offerings within Federal Institutes, particularly focusing on IFG's Anápolis campus. The study delves into the significance of this influence for student graduates, particularly those destined for the Agroindustrial District of Anápolis in Goiás, an area rich in labor force. The present study predominantly employs a qualitative approach, employing methodological procedures encompassing bibliographical research, document analysis, and field investigations. The latter involves the administration of questionnaires and conducting interviews. The findings indicate that the Federal Institute of Goiás (IFG), Anápolis Campus, has made commendable contributions to the skill development of the workforce catering to the industries of the Agroindustrial District of Anápolis (DAIA). Furthermore, it is evident that forging stronger partnerships between the institute and chemical enterprises remains imperative. Such collaborations would jointly strive for enhanced clarity and success in student education. Recognizing the demand for dynamic professionals well-versed in cutting-edge technologies, it is emphasized that the government-funded Institute should channel investments into state-of-the-art laboratories and equipment that align with the advancements observed in chemical industries. In essence, this study underscores the essential role of educational institutions in tandem with industries, portraying a need for continuous development to meet the evolving demands of a globalized world.ptDistrito Agroindustrial de Anápolis (DAIA)Institutos federaisPolíticas públicasO perfil do curso técnico em química do Instituto Federal de Goiás (IFG) – Campus Anápolis – e a coerência com as demandas das indústrias instaladas no Distrito Agroindustrial de Anápolis (DAIA)
