Goiânia (GO), 2023. 126 f. Dissertação (Mestrado Profissional em Administração) - Centro Universitário Alves Faria, 2023.https://repositorio.unialfa.com.br/handle/123456789/78This article has the general objective of verifying the challenges in the implementation of the law in the municipalities of Goiás, which, according to the new regulatory framework, have ownership of basic sanitation systems and must, by 2033, meet the universalization goals, with water service in 99% and sewage in 90%. In Brazil, the search for models that guarantee the availability of treated water and sanitary sewage has always been the agenda of political discussions and Brazilian society, as these services are essential for people's health and quality of life. From this reality, it is intended to verify the challenges in the implementation of the law by following the path: 1) Study and understand the Legal Framework for Basic Sanitation in Brazil and its form and time of implementation; 2) Investigate four (4) municipalities of Goiás in different situations, regarding the implementation of the New Legal Framework for Basic Sanitation; 3) Present the analysis of the data found, as well as its challenges and possibilities. The data collection technique was carried out through semi-structured interviews to interview people from different activities that integrate the community of the four municipalities. Expectations are higher and more challenging for municipalities that still have a deficit in provision, but it also raises a concern for those that are already close to universalization, but register a high population growth, to maintain these numbers until 2033. The approach is qualitative in itself. deal with a more detailed analysis process for obtaining essential data that involves studying, analyzing, understanding and better presenting the dynamic processes experienced in the four (4) municipalities: Caldas Novas, Colinas do Sul, Goianésia and Valparaíso de Goiás. The conclusion brings the result of the research, revealing several challenges, mainly in relation to the lack of planning of municipal public agents, aiming to achieve the goals of Law 14026/2020, the lack of engagement of society and mainly due to the existing legal uncertainty in relation to contracts signed before the effectiveness of the New Legal Framework for Basic Sanitation. The surveyed municipalities currently adopt different models for contracting a concessionaire to operate the systems in each of these municipalities, which will also influence the allocation of resources to guarantee the large investments necessary for the implementation of the goals established in the Law under discussion.ptUniversalizaçãoSaneamento básicoLei 14.026/2020Universalizaçãodo saneamento básico em Goiás à luz do novo marco regulatório do saneamento
