Thus, improving performance becomes an essential factor for the survival and development of businesses spread across the most diverse sectors. It is estimated that a sustainable company needs not only to present results, but also to relate these results to the controls and actions carried out. In view of this panorama, this work aimed, from a case study approach, to demonstrate and discuss the importance of using various performance indicators – beyond merely financial ones – in a flexible packaging industry. For this purpose, the study sought to describe the production process of a flexible plastic packaging factory and how this work can be improved through the use of performance indicators. Thus, this work brought methodologies used for the development and implementation of indicators such as the Balanced Scorecard (BSC), the Quantum model and the Hoshin Kanri model, which can help flexible packaging companies to obtain better results in their performance. In the case study, several indicators already used in the productive departments of the company in question were analyzed. Among the results, gains were observed in several points, such as losses, which reduced from a rate of 9%, in 2019, to a rate of 6.7%, in 2022 – so far, a record loss in the history of the organization. Other positive results were observed in terms of labor efficiency and direct material costs. The use of indicators, moreover, boosted gains in efficiency, analysis and improvement in internal processes, providing resulting financial gains.ptIndústriasEmbalagens flexíveisIndicadores de performance
