As a general objective, this dissertation seeks to know and analyze the effectiveness of the program through bibliographic analysis and historicity of the reasons for its creation (qualitative method), a case study of its execution in the municipality of Novo Planalto, in the North of Goiás (quantitative method), and sample field research (qualitative method) with beneficiaries of the program. In sequence, we sought to find out why the program has not been running in the State of Goiás since 2015. Still in that north, to know new initiatives, if any, as public policies for development with sustainability, equality and citizenship in the countryside. The responses of the field research demonstrate the degree of effectiveness that the actions and documents issued had in the life of those peasants, including their insertion and participation in other programs such as the commercialization of their products. In addition to the case study and blibliography, this work concludes that the PNDTR is an important federal program and must be recognized for being a driver for rural development around the conquest of the space of women and rural development with sustainability through Citizenship that it transports until the rural area.ptAgricultura familiarCidadaniaDesenvolvimento rural
