Grounded in a qualitative and exploratory approach, the study integrates theoretical research, documentary analysis, and a descriptive questionnaire applied to teachers from the municipal school system. The first article examines the conceptual and legal foundations of High Abilities or Giftedness, highlighting identification as a pedagogical and inclusive process. The second explores the interfaces between educational policies and regional development, demonstrating that valuing human potential is essential for building equitable and sustainable territories. The third article, with an empirical character, analyzes teacher training and professional practices through an exploratory questionnaire, indicating tendencies that reveal gaps in the preparation of educators to recognize and foster the potential of gifted students. The findings point to the need for integrated public policies, continuous professional development, and pedagogical practices that consider diversity as a principle of equity. In this context, the research aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, especially SDG 4 and SDG 10, by emphasizing the importance of equity, inclusion, and human capacity development for regional advancement. It is concluded that investing in teacher training and in the valuation of high abilities means investing in social transformation and in strengthening regional development, reaffirming schools as spaces of innovation, inclusion, and human promotion.ptEducação inclusivaFormação de ProfessoresObjetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS)
