Goiania, 2021. 72 f Dissertação (mestrado em Administração) - Centro Universitário Alves Faria, Goiânia, 2021https://repositorio.unialfa.com.br/handle/123456789/90This research sought to identify the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in the companies of the Polo Empresarial Goiás, in the municipality of Aparecida de Goiânia, state of Goiás, what measures were taken by these companies, the role played by the government and the direction of the Polo in relation to the pandemic. To this end, questionnaires were applied with closed questions in the industries and with entrepreneurs of the Polo, to evaluate the objectives of the study. In a second stage, a qualitative research was carried out, with a structured questionnaire, with the directors of the Polo Empresarial Goiás. The research is characterized as an exploratory, descriptive investigation, with a qualitative and quantitative approach, using questionnaires and interviews as a data collection instrument. The results indicated that there was a negative effect in relation to the pre-pandemic period in most of the Polo companies. The measures taken by the government, such as the extension of taxes, the suspension of employment contracts, the reduction of working hours and PRONAMPE, did not cover all companies, and therefore were not effective in minimizing the effects of the crisis. The Polo's management could have acted more effectively with specific measures for the crisis and interacted with other entities to bring options to face the pandemic.ptCompetividadePolo industrialPolíticas públicas
