This is an exploratory research, configured by a case study, with a qualitative approach. Through semi structured interviews with 4 protagonists of the inclusive education process in a full time school in the countryside of Goiás state, I was able to verify the advantages of inclusive education for PwD. Unanimously, the school presented itself as a reference place for inclusive education, giving rise to good practices and good results from the cognitive, social, and interactive advances of its disabled students, graduates or not. Moreover, the representative of the family, Joana (mother of a PwD student, Flor), and Clara, a non-PwD student, reaffirmed the inclusive practice of the institution analyzed. The CEPI promotes integrative and fully interactive practices among its entire school community, in addition to encouraging its students, with a particular look at each student, with respect for individual characteristics. In this way, it has also shown itself to be a mechanism that provides opportunities for human and social development, as well as skills and competencies that are essential for professional insertion. In this way, it also connects PwD students to the surrounding world, training them and integrating them into the working environment, as stated by Pedro (an egress PwD student), who shows himself to be happy and fulfilled professionally. Therefore, it meets the precepts of the national educational guidelines, prioritizing the citizen full training and for the job market, reflecting positively on the family and society, thus contributing to regional development.ptInclusãoEscola estadualEducação
