In this context, the Judicial Processing Unit (UPJ), initially implemented by the São Paulo Court of Justice and later adopted in Goiás, has emerged as an important administrative innovation. This study examines the effects of the UPJ implementation in the criminal courts of the Goiânia Judicial District, with emphasis on changes in procedural performance and the organization of clerical routines. The research problem lies in understanding the concrete impacts of this structural reform on the functioning of judicial units. The general objective is to assess the results of the model based on the integration of institutional performance data with the perceptions of judges, court staff and other legal professionals. The research is applied in nature, adopts a mixedmethods approach and an exploratory-descriptive design, and is developed through a single, embedded and longitudinal case study, combining documentary analysis and interviews.
