As soon as the first cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, classes were suspended, as well as face-to-face activities in various institutions in Brazil and around the world. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), on March 18, 2020, confirmed that 85 countries have completely closed face-to-face activities to mitigate contact with the new coronavirus, reaching 776.7 million people. young people and student children, therefore, completely remote teaching was chosen, a decision taken after a discussion that took place at an event that virtually brought together governments from 73 countries (UNESCO, 2020). In this context, the present work will reflect on the impact that the Covid-19 crisis has on the various sectors, especially in Education. In order to be able to face the changes required by isolation, among other ways of dealing with the pandemic situation, one of the most debated solutions is the use of digital information and communication technologies - TDIC's, as the Ministry of Education (MEC) through Ordinance No. 544, of June 16, 2020, provided for the replacement of inperson classes with classes in digital media, while the pandemic situation of the new coronavirus lasts. Faced with the emergency situation generated and its effects on formal education, there were transformations of various technical orders, in the way of teaching classes, accessing digital media, among other aspects, and these changes exposed a series of social and economic ills on both the part of the students, as well as teachers and school structures, as well as education as a whole The transformations deepened and exposed the social and economic problems, among others that already existed. Thus, analyzing the challenges and ways of coping by the different groups of the school community of basic education in the context of a pandemic at Colégio Professora Yolanda, located in Goiânia-GO, is the general objective of this work. The specific objectives are: to discuss the challenges of the pandemic situation for Basic Education; analyze the school structure; to analyze the challenges and ways of coping by the different groups of the basic education school community in the context of a pandemic; analyze the school structure, the challenges of the pandemic in the school environment, and the existing problems in facing the pandemic for the school and the management of its activities, as well as for the teachers and students of the same school environment; to provide subsidies for debating public policies and facing the challenges by the different groups that attend the school.
