The main objective of the research is to identify and evaluate the indicators used for economic analysis and impact assessment of PROCIDADES and similar economic development programs. The lack of adequate indicators to evaluate the performance of economic development programs is a common problem in many countries. To address this issue, it is necessary to adopt data-driven management practices, defining clear and objective indicators, setting goals, monitoring performance, and conducting periodic evaluations. In this context, the case study focuses on the indicators used in the infrastructure and urbanism component of PROCIDADES, from 2014 to 2021, in the Federal District. The research aims to identify whether these indicators are measurable and meet the SMART criteria (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound) and other desirable attributes. The methodology used involved the analysis of public documents, audit reports, data, and information available on websites. The obtained results allowed the identification of relevant indicators to assess the performance of PROCIDADES and contribute to the economic development of the region. By establishing accurate and reliable indicators, the Public Administration can improve control over infrastructure investments, attract more investments, and enhance the efficiency of public spending. Furthermore, the results of the case study can serve as a reference for the evaluation of other programs and infrastructure and urbanism projects.ptProcidadesPolíticas públicasIndicadores para analise econômicaCritérios smart
