Within this theme, the management by processes has reached a great relevance taking into account its possibility of application to the daily life of the institutions. Based on this, this work aimed to identify opportunities for improvement in the procurement process of a military administrative unit, making a diagnosis of the current situation, through the analysis and presentation of the results obtained by the organization, in the research that was carried out. With the expected contribution of the implementation of the process management model in the administrative unit, a new map for the purchases being made by the organization will be proposed in the form of advice. The analysis takes place through the perception of people of different hierarchical levels within the organization, through a semi structured interview and a questionnaire that uses the Likert scale, through a case study in a military organization, being also made a SWOT analysis with the obtained, seeking to carry out a redesign of processes and a work of mapping the activities carried out, assigning new roles and responsibilities to those involved. Given this scenario, it is expected to adapt a departmental and functional structure to a process-oriented organization, prioritizing the most significant participation of the internal public with the creation of multifunctional teams, encompassing several sectors, contributing to the formation of a working spirit as well as favoring organizational control, since it is considered that, in spite of the fact that the purchasing organization of the military organization has failures and difficulties to be overcome or solved through better planning and the preparation and dissemination of action plans, it was evidenced a high expectation and very good receptivity on the part of the interviewees about the changes to be proposed to implement a new form for the process orientation, always respecting the culture of the organization, maintaining the values, but with new challenges.ptGestãoAquisiçõesOrganização militar
