The various forms of strategic compensation enable organizations to adapt to new trends and the economic and social changes demanded by the current economic scenario. In public organizations, the predominance of the traditional compensation system does not prioritize employees’ skills and competencies. In this context, the research raises the following question: How is the Court of Justice of the State of Goiás positioning itself regarding the adoption of variable compensation in its career and salary plans, considering medium-sized Courts of Justice that have embraced this new model of strategic management? The general objective is to verify the existence of strategies in medium-sized courts and their respective approaches for adopting and implementing actions within the context of strategic compensation. To achieve the objective of this study, a qualitative methodology was adopted, based on a bibliographic review and the application of a questionnaire to representatives of medium-sized Courts of Justice. The data collected were analyzed considering the interviews conducted and the relevant normative frameworks. The results indicate that medium-sized Courts of Justice have made progress in adopting strategic compensation, with practices aimed at valuing and rewarding employee performance. The TJGO stands out for its structured bonuses and functional incentives, while other courts, such as TJPA and TJCE, are still in the consolidation phase. The research showed that in medium-sized courts, strategic compensation is still incipient, with fixed bonuses and time-of-service progression predominating, highlighting TJPA and its Performance and Innovation Award. Benefits range from legal to voluntary aids, and the salary structure combines base pay, bonuses, and additional allowances, always respecting the constitutional pay ceiling. Despite limitations, strategic compensation can enhance employee engagement, recognition, and retention. Overall, there is noticeable progress in transparency and in aligning compensation policies with institutional goals.ptSetor públicoRemuneração estratégicaTribunais de médio porteRemuneração estratégica no poder judiciário : análise comparativa no contexto dos tribunais de médio porte
