For that, it explains the economic evolution and its theoretical evolution, analyzes economic freedom within the Brazilian constitutional order; and explains the effects of the application of the law of economic freedom on social development, envisioning the prospects for the application of Law No. 13,874/2019 in the Brazilian economic and social scenario. The analysis outlined here, in methodological terms, is carried out substantially through bibliographical research, using the deductive method to, from notions, definitions and general premises of the concept of liberalism, economic development and capitalism, verify the possibility of their specific application in the provisions of the Economic Freedom Act. At the end of the study it was concluded that the Economic Freedom Law came to introduce major changes in the national economy in the sense of expanding the freedom of entrepreneurs and traders in general, so that they can answer for themselves and choose what suits them, reducing the bureaucratization of the economy and facilitating enrollment, updates and registrations for those working in the field, in addition to reducing the State's control and inspection of economic transactions, modifying various rules and even pre-existing legal texts.ptLiberdade econômicaDireito sociaisConstitucional brasileira
