The study is grounded in the context of population aging, increasing life expectancy, and the extension of working life, factors that make the debate on age discrimination in publicinstitutions increasingly necessary. Within this framework, the research investigates how ageism, often silent and naturalized, influences labor relations, human resource management practices, and professional recognition within the Goiás Judiciary. From a methodological perspective, the study is classified as a case study with a quantitative and descriptive approach. Data were collected through questionnaires administered to employees of the Goiás State Court of Justice, encompassing different age groups. Data analysis was conducted using Excel, SPSS, Minitab, and R software, and was complemented by the use of the Organizational Ageism Scale. Sociodemographic and attitudinal variables were analyzed, with an emphasis on explicit and implicit dimensions of prejudice. The results indicate that, despite the predominance of favorable representations associated with older professionals such as respect, experience, and commitment manifestations of benevolent ageism persist, along with stereotypes related to fragility, dependence, and perceived productivity limitations. A divergence was also identified between beliefs, which were mostly favorable toward aging in the workplace, and perceptions attributed to the social imaginary, characterized by less optimistic evaluations. This contrast demonstrates that age-based prejudice, although rarely expressed explicitly, continues to operate through paternalistic discourses and symbolic practices of exclusion. The study concludes that ageism within the Judiciary of Goiás is predominantly subtle and implicit, requiring ongoing institutional attention. The research highlights the importance of organizational policies that promote active aging, encourage interaction among different generations, and recognize generational diversity as a strategic resource. Such initiatives contribute to the creation of a fairer, more inclusive work environment aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 8 (decent work) and SDG 10 (reduced inequalities), established in the United Nations 2030 Agenda.ptIdadismo - EtarismoServiço público - Admnistração públicaDiversidade geracionalPoder judiciário de GoiásIdadismo no serviço público goiano: um estudo sobre o poder judiciário de Goiás
