A bibliographic review on strategic planning concepts and methodologies was presented, which allowed us to propose a theoretical model to support the research composed of four dimensions: Process, Maturity, Effectiveness and Control. The dimensions were categorized into twenty-six categories for analysis. The research identified that the PE implemented in the organization is based on Michel Porter's methodology and its strategic map was designed from the tool created and referenced by Kaplan and Norton, the Balance Scorecard. The proposed method can be applied to any educational organization and can contribute to the detection of paths to be followed to define an NP model, in addition to contributing to future decisions on the subject. The findings of this research allow us to conclude that a well-structured strategic planning can generate impacts on the results of an organization and that the theoretical model proposed for this verification perfectly met for this analysis to occur.ptPlanejamento estratégicoInstituição de Educação Superior PrivadaBalance Scorecard
