In order to support an analysis of the performance of Goiás managers, this research sought to look at the profile of the State Representatives of Goiás (in exercise in 2016), regarding their level of schooling for political activity and specifically the relationship between this schooling, with higher education or not and their projects presented at the Assembly. The concepts of representativeness, eligibility, and public management were theoretically discussed in the course of this research. After this discussion, an analysis was presented of the contribution of the Legislative Assemblies as a whole in the development of their powers vis-à-vis the State, of the elected Deputies and the linking of their profiles with the profile of the approved projects. It was sought through the data of approved projects and presented the relationship between professional profiles, such as their schooling, whether there is training with higher education or not, and the projects with which they are linked, to subsidize a debate about the need for qualification - with a higher degree of schooling, and specialization of these political agents. The development of this research indicated that although it can not be said that the Member with a higher degree of schooling and professional specialization produces more in terms of legislation, there are indications that those with a higher level of schooling value more activities related to Education, Health and Environment, which was reflected in the number of projects focused on this area. Thus, the survey pointed out that, in 2016, the deputies with the highest level of schooling submitted 15 projects focused on education, while those with a lower degree presented only one project and that the lower-ranking deputies approved more projects to grant tributes and titles.ptDeputados estaduaisGoiásQualificação–especializaçãoOs desafios do gestor público: os deputados estaduais em Goiás e o espelhamento entre seus projetos e suas áreas de formação
