Tese (doutorado) - FADISP, São Paulo, 2023http://repositorio.unialfa.com.br/handle/123456789/476The work investigates the convergences between the lessons of Jesus Christ and current human rights, answering the following question: What are the convergences between the lessons of Jesus Christ described in the Gospels, and the human rights foreseen in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948 and in the 1969 American Convention on Human Rights? For this question, the texts of the Declaration and the Convention were delimited as an object of research, compared with the four Gospels of the Biblical New Testament. The following methods were employed: (a) inductive, with extraction of aspects, lessons and principles left by Jesus Christ, according to the reports of the four Gospels; (b) dialectical method, evaluating and comparing the commandments of Jesus with the human rights that are now positive; (c) deductive method, with examination of doctrinal debates on human rights and on the interactions between religion and politics. The results were presented in the sequence: (1) Introduction; (2) Historical overview of Christianity's contributions to theories that underlie human rights; (3) Demonstration of interactions between religion and democracy, based on the right to democratic participation, in a context that guarantees religious freedom and the secularity of the State; (4) Results of comparative study between the Gospels and the rights enshrined in the 1949 Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 1969 American Convention on Human Rights; (4) At the end, the conclusions reached to answer the proposed question are presented.El trabajo investiga las convergencias entre las enseñanzas de Jesucristo y los derechos humanos actuales, respondiendo a la siguiente pregunta: ¿Cuáles son las convergencias entre las enseñanzas de Jesucristo descritas en los Evangelios y los derechos humanos previstos en la Declaración Universal de los Derechos Humanos de 1948? ¿Y en la Convención Americana sobre Derechos Humanos de 1969? Para esta cuestión, se delimitaron como objeto de investigación los textos de la Declaración y de la Convención, comparados con los cuatro Evangelios del Nuevo Testamento Bíblico. Se emplearon los siguientes métodos: (a) inductivo, con extracción de aspectos, lecciones y principios dejados por Jesucristo, según los relatos de los cuatro Evangelios; (b) método dialéctico, evaluando y comparando los mandamientos de Jesús con los derechos humanos que ahora son positivos; (c) método deductivo, con examen de debates doctrinales sobre derechos humanos y sobre las interacciones entre religión y política. Los resultados se presentaron en la secuencia: (1) Introducción; (2) Reseña histórica de las contribuciones del cristianismo a las teorías que subyacen a los derechos humanos; (3) Demostración de interacciones entre religión y democracia, con base en el derecho a la participación democrática, en un contexto que garantice la libertad religiosa y la laicidad del Estado; (4) Resultados del estudio comparativo entre los Evangelios y los derechos consagrados en la Declaración Universal de los Derechos Humanos de 1949 y la Convención Americana sobre Derechos Humanos de 1969; (4) Al final se presentan las conclusiones a las que se llegó para dar respuesta a la pregunta propuesta.ptCristianismoDireitos humanosJesus CristoReligião
