O processo de preparação na busca pela acreditação ONA em instituições públicas de saúde: um estudo de caso em Macapá/AP. Goiânia (GO), 2025. 107 f Dissertação (Mestrado Profissional em Administração) - Centro Universitário Alves Faria, 2025.http://repositorio.unialfa.com.br/handle/123456789/620The Accreditation process is defined by the National Accreditation Organization (ONA) as an evaluation and certification methodology, established through pre-established standards and requirements, which aims to promote quality and care safety in the health sector. It is carried out on the initiative of health organizations in a voluntary and confidential manner, without a supervisory character, constituting a continuing education program for these organizations, aiming to stimulate continuous improvement. The research started from the following question: What were the challenges, difficulties, barriers, and fundamental actions for the development and execution of a proposal/program to prepare for achieving ONA accreditation, level 1, in a public health institution in Macapá/Amapá managed by a Social Health Organization? The objective was to identify the difficulties, strategies, and health management tools used in the construction of this preparation proposal/program developed at the Hospital Unit object of this research. Although the Hospital Unit did not complete the accreditation process, due to issues beyond the process itself, the experience undertaken by the entire health team built an important set of knowledge and practices, which can be considered useful learning for other professionals and institutions in the pursuit of quality certifications. The work uses the methodological approach of qualitative research, for an exploratory and descriptive research, built from bibliographic research and case study, for which interviews were conducted with the managers of the Hospital Unit. Aspects related to the history and conceptuais bases of ONA accreditation, the national context of public health institutions, as well as the particularities of the services provided in these institutions were analyzed. The research results indicate that, among the difficulties that arose in the implementation of the intended proposal, the first is the fear and lack of knowledge about the accreditation processes, and the second is the absence of a fully structured safety and quality culture. The actions that were adopted during the practical experience that will be reported, which describes the organization of a working group oriented to the accreditation preparation process, the strengthening of the quality management system, and the mobilization and training of the teams, will be addressed. As a proposal, an action plan will be presented, which offers ways to facilitate the implementation of this accreditation methodology and which can be useful for other professionals and institutions. It is intended, therefore, to contribute to the objectives of the Unified Health System (SUS) and to reflections on patient quality and safety. We also intend to highlight that the ONA methodology presents itself as an excellent tool for achieving the expected quality in the processes of welcoming and health care. Finally, we emphasize the need for the involvement of the entire team of managers, health professionals, service providers, as well as patients and the community as a whole, to achieve ONA accreditation.ptAcreditação ONAIntituiçãoes públicas de saúdeOrganização socialO processo de preparação na busca pela acreditação ONA em instituições públicas de saúde: um estudo de caso em Macapá/AP
