The research is justified by the newness of the institute in the Brazilian legal system and by the importance of the regulatory agents involved. The problem that the research seeks to solve is whether the differentiated regulatory system, brought about by the regulatory sandbox, stimulated the emergence of new companies and collaborated, or can collaborate, with the economic development of the country, and whether this regulatory regime is a stimulus to free enterprise . As a research methodology, the bibliography was used, seeking historical aspects of innovation from the Industrial Revolution to the present day, without exhausting the subject, some innovations that emerged from this period to the present day were used, to show that innovations have been present in society for some time, but that, currently, we live in a moment in which they occur at a great speed and sometimes in a disruptive way. Then, based on a documental research, it describes, through the documents analyzed, the sandbox programs that have occurred or are occurring in Brazil, analyzing the results disclosed by the regulators. Finally, it analyzes the results of regulatory sandbox programs in Brazil and verifies whether the programs have somehow stimulated economic development and whether they have contributed to free enterprise. However, as a result of this research, it was observed that these programs aim to reduce initial barriers through flexible regulation and a controlled testing environment, stimulating innovation, facilitating the entry of new participants and contributing to an environment conducive to the development of disruptive solutions and economic growth.ptDesenvolvimento econômicoLivre iniciativaInovaçãoSandbox Regulatório
