Aparecida de Goiânia cidade inteligente: o letramento digital na educação, na formação cidadã e melhoria das políticas públicas. Goiânia (GO), 2024. 132 f. Dissertação (Mestrado Profissional em Desenvolvimento Regional) - Centro Universitário Alves Faria, 2024http://repositorio.unialfa.com.br/handle/123456789/441This study addresses the intersection between education and regional development in Aparecida de Goiânia (GO), focusing on how educational practices linked with technologies can contribute to the promotion of smart cities. In this context, the general objective is to investigate how the actions of the “Aparecida Cidade Inteligente” project have contributed to improving citizenship training, using digital literacy to improve public policies in the municipality of Aparecida de Goiânia (GO). To achieve this, the methodology adopted in this study is a combination of exploratory, qualitative and quantitative approaches. Therefore, bibliographical research was carried out to identify relevant authors who address the themes of smart cities, digital literacy and regional development. Next, documents that guide the promotion of smart cities were consulted, such as the Brazilian Charter for Smart Cities, ABNT ISO 37.122 Standard, Municipal Ineligibility n°98/2021, which includes the acquisition of robotics kits for the implementation of the project Crazy for Robotics, and the General Guidelines for Organization and Operation of the Municipal Education Network of Aparecida de Goiânia (GO), Biennium 2024/25. A case study was conducted on the impact of these initiatives using a questionnaire at Escola Municipal Cidade Satélite São Luiz, aiming to investigate factors such as the level of digital literacy of those responsible, digital exclusion and the perception of those responsible about the importance of students' digital literacy. The partial results indicate that, although the municipality has a developing smart city infrastructure and has created actions to promote digital literacy in municipal schools, this is still in its infancy and reflects the low engagement of those responsible for answering the questionnaire in this research, with 100% of these received the access link, but only around 11.11% answered. The final considerations of this study highlight that developing the research was challenging, especially due to the need to learn scientific writing, develop a research problem, define objectives and choose the appropriate methodology. The low adherence of those responsible revealed the need for clearer and more engaging communication, emphasizing the importance of their responses to improve children's citizenship development. The research showed that many guardians access the internet mainly at work, suggesting the need to adjust the sending of questionnaires to avoid busy times. Lack of parental engagement and low use of online educational resources can accentuate disparities in digital literacy between families. To overcome these challenges, it is essential to invest in infrastructure, improve the quality of the internet connection and increase access to suitable devices. Furthermore, it is essential to implement continuous training programs and propose public policies that promote digital inclusion in an equitable way, improving communication between the school and those responsible. Studying the impact of digital literacy on civic participation and developing personalized training programs are proposals for future research to contribute to this discussion. Implementing these strategies can ensure that all citizens have equitable access to digital technologies and the knowledge needed to thrive in a digitalized world.ptAparecida de GoiâniaCidades inteligentesLetramento digitalAparecida de Goiânia cidade inteligente: o letramento digital na educação, na formação cidadã e melhoria das políticas públicas
