Regarding the dissertation’s methodology, the research adopts a qualitative approach, grounded in the analysis of institutional data from the Military Justice of the State of Goiás and the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Goiás, as well as in a bibliographic review of authors who discuss the social function of the university, the commodification of higher education, the critical training of jurists, and the limits of dogmatic legal education. Documentary research was also conducted, involving the Federal Constitution, infra-constitutional legislation, educational guidelines and resolutions, Course Pedagogical Projects, curricular matrices of Higher Education Institutions in Goiás, data from educational and professional bodies, as well as judicial statistics and case law, adopting a historical and dialectical approach to analyze the relationship between legal training, specialized justice, regional development, and sustainable development. The central research problem consists of understanding to what extent the maintenance of a dogmatic model of legal education evidenced by the exclusion of Military Law from curricula limits the critical formation of jurists, weakens the performance of the State Military Justice, and reduces the potential of legal education as a vector of regional development and institutional strengthening. The overall objective of this study is to analyze the trajectory and challenges of legal education in Brazil, investigating how the absence of Military Law in Course Pedagogical Projects and curricular matrices impacts professional training, the functioning of the State Military Justice system, and regional development in Goiás. The dissertation is structured in three interdependent articles: the first maps the state of the art of Brazilian academic productions on Military Law and Military Justice, identifying investigative gaps and the existence, or not, of articulation between these themes and legal education, delimiting the scientific field of the research. The study found an absence of a direct relationship between legal education and Military Law/Justice and a clear lack of scientific production on the subject. The second article aims to examine higher education, with an emphasis on the Law course, from the perspective of its social function, educational policies, current curricular guidelines, and its connection to regional development. This study demonstrates that the expansion of higher education driven by market logics tends to empty the social function of the university, compromising its capacity to articulate academic training, critical thinking, and regional demands. The third article investigates the configuration of legal education in the State of Goiás, identifying the absence or presence of Military Law in Course Pedagogical Projects and curricular matrices, evaluating the repercussions of this curricular choice for society and for Military Justice. The results of the empirical research, presented in the third article, reveal that the Higher Education Institutions analyzed in Goiás do not offer Military Law as a subject, in contrast to the mandatory presence of Labor Law and the broad inclusion of Electoral Law, configuring a curricular asymmetry incompatible with the constitutional relevance of Military Justice. The data analysis demonstrated a significant increase in procedural demand in the State Military Justice system, associated with technical failures, institutional costs, and obstacles to the effectiveness of judicial services. This highlights impacts that directly relate to Sustainable Development Goal 4, by problematizing the quality and adequacy of higher education, and to Sustainable Development Goal 16, by highlighting repercussions on the strengthening of institutions, access to justice, and the effectiveness of the rule of law. A Technical Report was prepared, to be submitted to the Ministry of Education, proposing the inclusion of Military Law in the National Curriculum Guidelines (DCNs) for law courses. It is concluded that the exclusion of Military Law from legal education limits professional opportunities, weakens institutional performance, and compromises the role of legal education as an instrument for strengthening the justice system, promoting regional development, and fulfilling the commitments made by the country to promote quality education and effective institutions.ptCurrículo jurídicoDireito militarJustiça especializadaObjetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS)Ensino jurídico e o direito militar : uma análise crítica dos projetos pedagógicos dos cursos de Direito em Goiás
