The research problem consisted of verifying to what extent this procedural mechanism is capable of unifying the resolution of repetitive disputes, stabilizing legal expectations, and generating positive economic repercussions. The general objective consisted in examining the IRDR within the precedent system instituted by the 2015 Code of Civil Procedure, assessing its capacity to give effect to constitutional procedural principles and reduce the costs arising from decisional dispersion. A deductive approach was adopted, combined with a literature review, normative and documentary analysis, and a qualitative and quantitative case study, taking as reference IRDR Theme 36 of the Court of Justice of the State of Goiás, instituted on account of the sale of electronic devices without chargers by Apple Computer do Brasil LTDA. A sample of 857 cases was manually collected on the Projudi platform, covering the period from 2020 to 2026. Prior to the fixation of the ruling, decisional dispersion was identified across 55 distinct courts of origin, with 40% of the cases decided in favor of the claim and 60% decided against it for an identical question of law. After admission of the incident, and even before the ruling was fixed, the data already showed a reduction in the number of new case filings. After the decision became final and unappealable, the ruling was found to have been applied to all suspended cases, including the reversal of 96 of the 104 judgments favorable to the consumer that had been suspended at the appellate level. The research confirmed the central hypothesis that the IRDR, when properly conducted, gives effect to the constitutional principles underlying it and produces positive effects on the economic environment, through the reduction of legal uncertainty, the reduction in litigation, and the formation of legal capital, guiding the conduct of litigants faced with repetitive disputes.ptIncidente de Resolução de Demandas Repetitivas (IRDR)Segurança jurídicaImpactos econômicosPrecedentes vinculantesO incidente de resolução de demandas repetitivas e seus impactos econômicos: isonomia, eficiência judicial e segurança jurídica a partir do estudo de caso do IRDR tema 36 do Tribunal de Justiça do Estado de Goiás
