The research begins with the gradual evolution of national and international norms for the protection of children and adolescents, followed by an examination of the concept of family based on its models and modalities, as well as the importance of the family in ensuring the safe, healthy, and comprehensive development of individuals in the process of development. The study addresses the main aspects and functionalities of the SNA/CNJ and analyzes the number of adoption proceedings conducted between January 1, 2020, and March 31, 2026, in the childhood and youth judicial units of the Court of Justice of the State of Goiás. It also proposes reflections on the results obtained, with a view to implementing improvements in the adjudication of cases of this nature, thereby ensuring the Best Interests of the Child and Adolescent, the Principle of Absolute Priority, and Comprehensive Protection for Children and Adolescents.ptadoção; proteção de crianças e adolescentes; família; Sistema SNA/CNJ; Goiás.
