The human work provided to others is transformed from the various forms of slave labor to paid work, the worker changes from being an object of law to a subject of law. During the 19th century the struggle for workers' rights occupies the agenda in all industrialized countries, unions grow and gain relevance in discussions, communism starts to worry capitalists for fear of workers' uprising that swarm at the end of the century. Long working hours in degrading places are replaced by minimal controls on working conditions. In the 20th century, the International Labor Organization (ILO) was created, which ended up establishing minimum standards for working conditions in developed and developing countries. With the mobility of capital, the flight of industrial capital to underdeveloped countries creates neo-slaves, poor countries offer working conditions below the hard-established minimum standards. Contemporary slavery is different from classic slavery, but that doesn't mean it doesn't stop being harsh, mistreating, killing. In Brazil, companies benefit from contemporary slavery in various branches of economic activity, the overexploitation of workers becomes a way to increase company profits and gain a comparative advantage in competition with other companies in the sector. Employer delinquency, in many sectors of the Brazilian economy, is the main instrument of social dumping, or rather, the repeated and systematic practice of denying workers' rights is the way to finance competition in the market, being often the only way for the company to remain in the competitive market. Thus companies gain competitive space, workers often lose their own lives to maintain the system. The great new challenge for workers' human rights defenders is the promotion of decent work, which demands a great effort to avoid the retrogression of hard-won rights and to advance in new concepts related to human dignity.ptDelinquência patronalDumping socialTrabalho escravoSuperexploração do trabalhoA negação da dignidade do trabalhador em face da delinquência patronal e do dumping social
