Using a hypotheticaldeductive approach, the research is based on a bibliographic and jurisprudential review, exploring the ideological-structural principles that sustain public policies related to the eradication of poverty and the reduction of social inequalities. The analysis includes the application of Law 10,835/2004 and the interpretation of the Federal Supreme Court in the Writ of Injunction No. 7,300 of the Federal District. The work is divided into three chapters: an introduction to social inequalities; the role of the Judiciary in the implementation of rights according to the Economic Constitution; and, finally, the discussion of the decision of the Federal Supreme Court and its implications for the transfer of income and the confrontation of socioeconomic inequalities.
