This master's dissertation explores the concept of compliance, demonstrating that it transcends a mere foreign term, embodying a set of essential values for good market practices, becoming indispensable in the context of legal and financial relationships today. The dissertation analyzes the evolution of digital law, highlighting the significant contributions of the renowned legal expert Patrícia Peck Pinheiro and the influential philosopher Pierre Levy, to identify the specific characteristics of each environment and their limitations. The work is organized into four carefully structured chapters to provide the reader with a deep and progressive understanding of the themes to be explored, keeping in mind the enriched contributions of authors Carlos Wolkmer and Luiz Antonio Rolim, which allow for an evolutionary reflection on the transformation of these legal relationships and their impact on the conception of new rights, previously non-existent, that continuously shape society. Finally, the theory of compliance itself is presented based on the standards established by the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), contextualized through the international comparative study COSO.
