In Brazil, quilombola communities remain among the groups historically excluded from public policies and effective judicial protection, facing challenges such as lack of civil documentation, land insecurity, limited state presence, and restricted access to public services. In this context, the Court of Justice of the State of Goiás (TJGO) launched, in 2024, the project "Raízes Kalungas: Justice and Citizenship," aimed at expanding access to justice for the Kalunga quilombola population through mobile legal assistance, issuance of civil documents, and interinstitutional coordination focused on land regularization and social inclusion. This study investigates to what extent the project contributes to strengthening access to justice and promoting sustainable development in the communities served. The research adopts a qualitative applied approach, structured as a case study, with methodological triangulation between primary and secondary sources. Data collection involved semi-structured interviews applied to a quilombola community leader and the analysis of institutional and normative documents. Data interpretation was conducted through content analysis (Bardin, 2011) and directed document analysis (Hsieh & Shannon, 2005), based on analytical categories derived from the research objectives. The findings demonstrate that the project contributes to expanding access to justice and strengthening the institutional presence of the State in historically marginalized territories. Advances were identified in civil documentation, institutional proximity, and interinstitutional articulation. However, limitations persist regarding the continuity of actions, territorial coverage, and effectiveness in land regularization. The study also reveals tensions between institutional discourse and community experience, highlighting the need for greater sociocultural adequacy and strengthened community engagement. These findings provide insights for improving judicial policies aimed at vulnerable populations, with greater territorial alignment and social effectiveness.ptComunidades quilombolasAcesso à justiçaTribunal de Justiça do Estado de Goiás (TJGO)Desenvolvimento sustentávelA atuação do Tribunal de Justiça de Goiás no desenvolvimento regional sustentável : o projeto “Raízes Kalungas - justiça e cidadania”
